Time for another review on some products I have been using. Just a reminder, this is my own opinion and how the products work for me. Everyone has their own characteristics, that is what makes us all unique, this goes the same for are skin. So I hope you enjoy. I know I have not done a skincare routine but I am switching it up since my skin is not cooperating right now. My skin acting up all winter long. It has been very dry lately even though I only wash my face once everyday in the morning due to my flaky dry skin been along my jawline and neck area. I have been using these products and it has been helping my skin out quite a bit. The Bio Essence Intensive Conditioning Toner is quite amazing, not only does it tighten the skin but the appearance of pores size also reduce. It makes the skin soft and tightens the skin firmly. And you can really tell the difference in three days. That is what they advertise on the large IOPE poster at the Amore store. After toning my face I use the Laniege Emulsion which is the clear bottle above. I use two pumps and spread it through my finger tips and pat it on my entire face. It has a watery consistency. And at last is the Laniege milky watery lotion I apply, it absorbs right in the skin. I do the same process as the emulsion. These products have been keeping my skin very hydrated so far. The dry flaky skin is slowly recovering from the harsh bitter cold winter. It does great for hydration but as for acne. It does not really help at all so keep an acne spot treatment in hand. As you can see the bottles are almost empty. I already picked another skincare set at the Amore store. I will do another review about it after finishing this set up and trying it out for a couple of weeks. Did anyone try these products? Let me know about your experiences... ;) See you soon on my next post...xoxo chuieeglam
This is a very thorough thorough review about chemical peel so get prepared with your reading glasses... Chemical peels were on my mind for a couple of months until I actually purchase the Perfect image to give it a try. The reason is because I have a lot of hyper-pigmentation from acne, acne scars, cystic acne, you name it all. When I happen to pick my face to remove either a blackhead or pimple, hyper-pigmentation starts to form were the skin was touched also known as Post Inflammatory Hyperpigmentation.
I wanted to see if this would help my skin improve since I read so many reviews about the improvement of the consumer's skin on hyper-pigmentation.
I wanted to give it a try to see if I would be lucky enough, that this product would actually work for my skin problems. I followed completely from the instruction that was provided in the box. Here are my Steps I followed for the chemical peel: 1. Washed face with Dickinson's Original Witch Hazel Foaming Facial Wash 2. Toned it with the Dickinson's Witch Hazel toner 3. Let face dry 4. Start timer on phone 5. Applied the Lactic Acid on my face forehead than working down my face with my fingers in circular motion 6. Slight tingling but manageable for 45 seconds 7. Rinse with cool water, 5 times 8. Slightly pat my face semi-dry 9. I used a hydrating mask for 15 minutes to restore the moisture that was stripped away from the chemical peel 10. I than slightly massage the rest of the serum from the mask on my face, carefully to not rub your face dry 11. Add a super thick moisturizer, I used the Wild Rose 24-Hour Moisturising & Brightening Cream Normal to Dry Skin I used paraben-free and sulfate-free products to cleanse and tone to provide maximum results. The directions say to leave it on for 30 seconds but I really didn't feel the tingling sensation until the 45 second mark, than it started to slightly feel like it is burning so I washed it off immediately. I need to go to work the after the weekend so my face has to look presentable..just saying.. I did not want to burn the sheezzz out of my face, since I am a newbie to chemical peels. I also had to be careful since I do not know how my skin will react to the chemical peel. 1st Peel Magic that happened to my skin: - Left it on for 45 seconds - Blemishes did fade alittle, not completely - Cystic Acne size decreases dramatically (Being so serious, from a pimple lump big as a mini m&m to flat) - Did not peel as much at all since I moisturize the shit out of my face (I have to work people..LOL) -Did not see lighting in hyper-pigmentation Overall, it did help with my skin slightly with blemishes by lighting the darkness, not completely tho but I can't wait until I am done with my entire session. If it help improve this much with blemishes and cystic acne; imagine for a 6 weeks session, my face will be PIMPLE-less!!!! Also it improved with my cystic acne, I had a lot along my jawline and it help improve and flatten out the cystic acne. Session meaning doing chemical peel one time every week for about 6 weeks or 8 weeks. The one thing I did not see improvement is hyper-pigmentation so I am hoping this would work after a couple of session..
Enhanced Lotion 10% Glycolic AHA Anti-Wrinkle Review...
Hello Lovelies, I happened to pick up this entire set at Marshall for a decent price to try out this brand and formula. It was quite new to me first so I decided to give it a chance. The cleanser and lotion was about $16 all together. I finished the cream cleanser already but the lotion I still have it filled to the top. I believed I already did a review on the cleanser. I tried using the lotion for a week along with the cleanser and had to stop. My skin turned super dry after applying it on for a week. My skin felt so rough almost like a crocodile skin. It also made my skin irritated and red. Let me tell you about my skin bio... It is combination to oily skin during the summer and hot seasons. It can be sensitive also. It is dry and flaky but still comb to oily skin during fall and winter months. This lotion was a definitely no..no for my skin. I am using this for my legs and arms now but I have been alternating the use of this because it can be over-drying and irritating. I certainly will not be repurchasing this again.
Happy New Years!!!! Time went by so fast last year when looking back. But anyway, Yankee Candles is having their Semi-Annual Sale for candles right now and I went a little cra-craz... lol I love Yankee Candles! Most of the their scented candles I could eat since it smells so good. Some of the candles I choose were mostly on sale. The large candle tumblers were $10 dollars and the little guy comes in set of 2 for only $13 bucks. So the flavors or should I say fragrance that I have purchased are: Balsam & Cedar: smells like pine trees, warm, festive for the holidays Apple Pumpkin: smells like apples with pumpkins with some cinnamon, it reminds me of apple cinnamon Peppermint Bark: smells like peppermint, smells like the candy peppermint bark..ohhh yumm Christmas Cookies: smells like sugar cookies delight..yummy Cranberry Chutney: smells like pure cranberries, makes the room smells really good... Home Sweet Home: smells like sweet cinnamon and another set of the little tumblers not shown in the picture Cherries on snow: smells like sweet cherries Sparkling snow: smells like the clean laundry linen Recently I have been changing up the scents for each night before bed and it smells delicious, warm, and cozy when going to bed. It is also great for the bathrooms when someone just bombed the bathroom, it will smell so good after lighting a candle. Here is a tip, I learned...Before and after lighting a Yankle candle or any brand candles, make sure to snip the wick leaving 1/8 of an inch left. It will reduce the smuck and dry ashes part that will leave a scent of burnt ashes..yuck! I certainly don't like the smell of burnt ashes. ***The tip is to turn the candle upside down and snip it on an angle with a regular scissors over a garbage can..there is no need to buy the fancy yankee candle scissors thats is $10, save your money to buy another candle...lol Did anyone restock on Yankee Candles? What are your favorite scents..?
